Maereta Carpenter

Licensed Massage Therapist

Massage is my passion. Mom and daughters dates often included massage.

Since my first massage at Libby's Bathhouse in Hot Springs National Park at the age of 12, I knew I wanted to be a massage therapist. At 17, I broke my back and refused surgery with bone fragments in my spinal cord and a crushed L-1. I did my own physical therapy with my mom and the doctors couldn't explain how I was walking. I had always done Callanetics each morning so we started there. Mom took me to get massages and chiropractic adjustments during my healing process. I also went to an acupuncturist for pain management. We eat nutrient dense foods, which gave me the tools needed and boosted my healing.

I listened to the doctors and stayed home with minimal activity for 9 years. No longer could I wait and enrolled in massage therapy school. I've had less back pain in the last 11 years of practice than when I stayed home as medically advised.

I enjoy sharing my learnings to help you heal and have a pain free daily life.
